Aura:

Causes:

Migraine is caused by abnormal brain activity. This activity can be triggered by many things:

  • Hormonal changes in women

  • Stress

  • Changes in sleep patterns

  • Skipping meals or fasting

  • Bright lights or glare

  • Certain foods or drinks, such as alcohol, caffeine, or foods that are high in tyramine (such as aged cheeses)

  • Changes in the environment, such as changes in altitude or weather Certain medications
